Important Notice: Banned Individuals Policy

If you have been banned by a Pubwatch, Shopwatch, or any other type of watch scheme, please be aware of the following:

Banned from One, Banned from All (Local Area Policy)

Bans are enforced by the local Pubwatch, Shopwatch, or other watch schemes operating within your area. These bans are facilitated through Schemelink, which provides a platform for secure communication and data sharing among participating businesses and authorities.

This means that if you are banned from one premises (such as a pub, shop, or business) within a specific area or town, your ban will automatically apply to all other premises that are members of the same local scheme. This could include other pubs, shops, and businesses within that town or district.

Schemelink's Role:

Schemelink does not make or influence banning decisions. Schemelink simply facilitates alerts and communication between scheme members to support the enforcement of bans. All decisions regarding bans are made solely by the relevant watch scheme and its members.

Why This Policy Exists:

This policy is in place to:

Promote safer environments for businesses, staff, and the public within the local community.

Support crime prevention and reduce anti-social behaviour across the area.

Ensure consistency in enforcing bans within the specific town or area.

Appealing a Ban:

If you believe your ban is unjust or you wish to appeal:

Contact the specific scheme (Pubwatch, Shopwatch, etc.) that issued your ban.

Follow their appeal process, which will be outlined in your banning notice or can be requested directly from the scheme administrator.

Note: Schemelink does not handle appeals or manage bans—this is the responsibility of the relevant watch scheme.

Reinstatement of Access:

Your access to any premises within the banned area will only be reconsidered after your ban has been officially lifted by the scheme that imposed it.

For more information, please contact the administrator of the scheme responsible for your ban.

Use the 'Contact Pontypool And District Pubwatch' button above to access the contact form.
